Where to start? This place is absolute perfection. It’s very clear the  host Kim has put a ton of love and care into this home and we loved it.  The Airbnb is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and well equipped with anything you might need. It was so quiet and tranquil. Tons of  windows and natural lighting. One of our favorite parts was waking up and playing checkers in the screened-in porch. Every bedroom is spacious -- we ended up staying in the master and the bed was SO comfy and huge. The kitchen is thoughtfully planned and had everything you can think of. The location was ideal, we were able to take our dog on several walks, there’s even a few lakeside spots to stop and relax. The  host Kim was very communicative, we even extended our stay an extra day and she was extremely accommodating. We’ll definitely be booking again!

We loved this location so much, we came back a year later.  Beautiful decor, many kitchen gadgets, extra pillows and blankets  everywhere. We loved spending mornings in the screened-in porch and afternoons on the enclosed patio. There even were a few games, puzzles and books for you to enjoy which is really cool. Beds were comfy! So many great dog-friendly hikes within 30 min. Really friendly neighborhood. We did have a black bear sighting this time!  Local restaurants are pretty good -- we particularly loved Slopeside Tavern, Whiteside Brewing, and Mica’s. Kim is a great host -- she is very quick to respond to questions and  accommodate requests. Thank you Kim for a great stay again!!

We stayed almost a week at Kim's Mountain Hideaway.  The unit was  exactly as pictured and described!  (Stairs are now in white wood instead of carpet.) The furnishings are new and the whole unit has been  beautifully remodeled with comfortable bathrooms, upscale linens and a very well-appointed kitchen.  There are a few steps downhill from the  parking to the door of the unit so beware if you have any mobility  issues. Check-in and out was extremely easy via electronic keypad. Large TVs in every room with plenty of entertainment options were a big  plus! The location is ideal since you have Brevard and Highlands a 1/2 hr away by car and Cashiers even closer. We even ventured as far as Bryson City to look at trains and learn more about the history of the area.   Perfect for a stay in the mountains! Would definitely rent it again.

Don’t even hesitate.  Just book it.  Gorgeous home, beautifully  decorated, tons to do with kids in the area. My 8 year old son got  stuck on gem mining. Couldn’t get enough of it.  The community/rec center was fun too with arcade games etc. We drove to the Asheville area  for a day trip as well. Not far.  Only a 2 hour-ish drive from Atlanta. We got a little snow on the ground one day which again was really  exciting for my son. Living in San Diego you don’t see too much of that. Grocery store is very close by. Kim is very communicative and a total sweetheart. You won’t regret booking this home.

Kim was kind, responsive and enthusiastic. The property is well-stocked, nicely appointed and sweetly located. This part of western NC is so  pretty! We came for snow activities but it was too warm (and rainy at  points) to even blow the snow machines. But it was gorgeous at 70!! We  happily made the most of it with many local hikes! The condo was cozy and snug, and our family enjoyed our stay there. There was enough  parking. The resort amenities did not interest my kids  so we played ball outside in addition to the local hikes and we played  family games inside. Glad we went!

This condo is equipped with everything you need. The screened-in room on the deck was a great place to sit with a cup of coffee and enjoy the  view on the one day it rained. This is an end unit.  The bedroom  downstairs doesn’t share a common wall so it was very quiet and it has a sliding glass door that opens to the deck. The bedroom upstairs is  great too. The neighborhood was quiet… a real woodsy feel.  Truly a  wonderful experience and Kim was very responsive to any questions.

Good location with beautifully decorated and fully equipped 2 bdrm, 2  full bath condo in a forest-like setting with a small lake several  hundred feet away. Kim has all the extras -- fully equipped kitchen with up-to-date dishes, cutlery, including knives that are sharp. Cozy  exterior deck, part covered, part outside. This home was the perfect place to stay in Sapphire. It feels tucked away and in-the-woods, but it's also so easy to get to nearby  restaurants or to Cashiers for the grocery etc. Kim's place was clean and comfortable, and had so many touches to make it feel like home. This home is absolutely beautiful, and so is the community it’s in!  Home: clean, spacious, and very cozy. The king bed was very comfortable, and so were the couches. Each room had a smart TV so that was great! In  the cooler mornings I loved spending time on the screened in patio, and during the afternoons after our hikes we hung out on the deck. It’s fully closed in patio so our dog could run free which was great. The kitchen had so many tools and gadgets that we could cook, make some toast, open wine, and more if we wanted. I think she literally had  anything -- including an instapot! Kim clearly thought of the little things by having SoftSoap hand soap (instead of something that would dry out your hands), lotion, and laundry pods available. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows throughout the home which was awesome.  Community: such a friendly community! Everyone waved as we walked or  drove by. So many dogs too, which was fun for us dog owners to see.  Location: cute and safe town with little, quaint shops and restaurants. We loved the feel! We went to two local hikes that were phenomenal and dog friendly: Whiteside Mountain and Whitewater Falls trails. Amazing views, only about 20 minutes away. Highly recommend!!

If I could give Kim's place 10 stars, I would! She is so easy to communicate with and provided everything and more that we needed. Her home was SO clean, comfortable (beds and couches are amazing!), and  spacious for our family of 6. It's also been recently remodeled with very tasteful choices. We had weather in the 60s and got to enjoy the huuuge back deck, as well. It even has a latched gate on it, so our pup enjoyed it with us without being able to run off. It's the quietest place we've ever stayed. So nice and peaceful. We also loved taking advantage of the Sapphire Valley Resort rec center nearby, which has a  walking path, basketball court, playground, ping pong, indoor swimming, arcade, hot tub, putt putt, etc... The kids had so much fun and it's the best value for a family to buy the amenity cards when you come. It was  too warm to tube or ski, but that's right there, as well. Restaurants, grocery, and amazing hiking spots all close by in Cashiers/Highlands area. Book this place, you won't regret it!

We just wanted to get away from our apartment for a  quick anniversary getaway and since we’ve been stuck at home for months  we took my son and his friend. The kitchen had everything we needed to  buy food and cook at home. This host also does not skimp on the quality  of linens provided!!! If you go, look for the older gentleman from the  adjacent buildings, I wish we had gotten his name, he lives alone and  stood and talked to the boys for over 30mins!!! All the neighbor were  friendly and waved when you passed by.

We loved our stay at Kim's home. She is a quick and  helpful owner. We had everything we needed at the house and Kim really  helped out us out when our days at the house needed to change. We hiked  all over the area and really just came back to the house to eat a hot meal and have a good night's rest. We loved that you could get to  waterfall hikes within a 10-15 minute drive. Sometimes, places in the  mountains are so remote that you wind up driving 45 minutes each way to  wherever you want to hike. Our family had a great experience at Kim’s property at  Sapphire Valley. We were a bit concerned about taking a vacation during  the pandemic but Kim was great in assuring us about precautions that  were being taken. The property was immaculate! As others have noted, the  property is larger than pictures appear with a great sun room and huge  deck to enjoy. We used the gas grill several times and enjoyed having  dinner on the deck. The location was awesome for the things our family  loves to do which is to hike to waterfalls. There is an abundance of  great trails and waterfalls in the area that are within a 15-30 minute  drive. We also appreciated that the property was only about 8 minutes to  the nearest grocery store. Lastly, our kids took advantage of Fairfield  Lake where they rented kayaks and paddle boards. My son also enjoyed  fishing in the pond just down the road from the property each night.  Overall, we could not recommend this place more!

The place was perfect for us and our dog. Plenty of  room and lovely views of fall foliage and nature from every room. Had  everything we needed. Especially a fireplace! The day after we arrived  it started raining for 2 days, followed by the temperature drop into the  20s at night. Living room was comfy cozy. Nice sized deck to sit and  enjoy the natural beauty of the area as well as the BBQ grill. Kitchen  was well equipped. Our host, Kim, responded to us quickly when we got  slightly lost coming here. We got to see a number of beautiful  waterfalls in the surrounding area and enjoyed a couple of meals and a  spectacular view at the Sapphire Mountain Brewery Pub and Grill/Sapphire  Golf Course. Quaint and comfortable cabin with all the amenities in a beautiful area. My  12 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay Feb  18-22. Kim was great to work with and very accommodating! The  townhouse was wonderfully decorated and fully equipped. Very clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed leaving our windows open at night and enjoying the 60-degree weather. Our family spent one day just relaxing on the screened in back porch reading, playing in the nearby horse  pasture river and fishing at the small lake within walking distance. The  clubhouse being part of the package ($2 per day) makes the stay an  unbeatable value. My daughter loved playing putt-putt, swimming and the  arcade. The location is also wonderful, only a short drive to Highlands,  Franklin and a bit further drive to Ashville and Gatlinburg. Traveled with 2 adults and 2 grandkids - perfect size as having 2 bathrooms makes a huge difference. Loved the screened porch. Plenty of kitchen gadgets and supplies available and we made use of the convenient washer/dryer. The complex is very quiet and close to  the resort and Cashiers. We made frequent use of the rec center playing  ping pong, pool, mini golf, arcade and also both the indoor and outdoor  pools. We also kayaked on Fairfield Lake. The Resort amenity card you  can purchase gets you access to the activities either for free or at a  discount so it’s well worth it (grandkids were free due to age). Kim was  very easy to work with, patiently answered all questions and provided  lots of written information about the area. We also enjoyed the Sliding  Rock Waterfalls adventure (water was still quite cold but it was free  and fun!), horseback riding (a bit disorganized), hiking to Whitewater  Falls and eating at SlabTown Pizza. Ingles (with a Starbucks) is nearby  for groceries. We are rafting the Chattooga on the way home. Just a  great area to spend a long weekend and relax or go for some adventure!  Made some wonderful memories for all of us.
